2012
Rattan Furniture started as a hands-on manufacturing operation, producing quality rattan pieces for homes and businesses across the Western Cape. Craftsmanship and local materials were — and still are — at the heart of everything.
A change of hands
After the passing of a founding partner, the business changed ownership more than once. Each chapter preserved the name, but the focus drifted. By 2025, the brand needed a clear purpose and a fresh start.
2025
Christelle bought Rattan Furniture in 2025 and began rebuilding it from the ground up. In just 12 months, she has welcomed a strong base of successful clients and is growing the business back to its former glory.
The owner
Christelle is hands-on about quality, turnaround and service. Her goal is simple: make Rattan Furniture the first name hospitality managers think of when poolside loungers, dining chairs or antique pieces need expert attention.
Every reweave is a chance to prove that local craftsmanship, honest communication and UV-grade materials can outlast cheap imports in the South African sun.
